MANY PEOPLE HAVE ASKED ME, IN-BOXED ME, SENT MAILS TO ME ASKING IF TITHING IS IN THE NEW TESTAMENT AND FOR THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH?
MY TAKE ON THE SUBJECT IS THIS:
HEBREWS 7:8 AND HERE MEN THAT DIE RECEIVE TITHES; BUT THERE HE RECEIVETH THEM, OF WHOM IT IS WITNESSED THAT HE LIVETH.
The Holy Spirit had the writer of the book of Hebrews to put that scripture in the New Testament...
HERE MEN THAT DIE RECEIVE TITHES BUT UP THERE HE {JESUS} RECEIVES IT. SO WHO WILL RECEIVE IT HERE ON BEHALF OF JESUS? IT IS NOT LEVITES BUT PASTORS AND THE MINISTRY GIFTS THAT JESUS HAS SET IN THE BODY, The Bible clearly teaches that there has been a change of the priesthood…
{Hebrews 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. Note that the writer is still talking about tithing in Hebrews 7 :8-12}..
Men that Jesus called into the ministry gifts, { heads of Churches receive the tithe into the Store house which is the church not a Para-ministry organization unless that place is where you are being fed with the word of God and you don’t belong to a local church in which case you will be out of order} Men ( ministry gifts who lead churches including women) receive tithe here on earth on the behalf of the one who it is witnessed lives forever- Jesus
{Revelation 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death}…
I do not believe that a believer who does not pay tithe is cursed but the tithe is Gods financial plan for His people..(will come back to that latter)
THE TITHE IS NOT FOR THE OLD TESTAMENT LAW. The Tithe existed before the law was given. ABRAHAM, ISAAC, JACOB WHERE TITHERS...THE LAW CAME FOUR HUNDRED AND THIRTY YEARS AFTER THROUGH MOSES...
{GALATIANS 3:17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.}
THE TITHE WAS EVENTUALLY INCLUDED IN THE LAW.THE WHOLE IDEA OF TITHING IS ABOUT COVENANT... Abraham's Covenant of which the Bible says we are Abraham's seed...{Galatians 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.}
THE LAW CAME 430 YEARS AFTER ABRAHAM ENTERED INTO THE COVENANT TO TITHE....LIKE I SAID I DO NOT BELIEVE A BELIEVER WHO DOES NOT TITHE WILL BE CURSED, {HE OR SHE IS PURCHASED BY THE BLOOD} BUT HE OR SHE WILL BE LABORING UNDER A "CURSED SYSTEM" AND WOULD NOT ENJOY THE BLESSING THAT COME WITH TITHING....WHICH IS DIVINE FAVOR, OPEN HEAVEN... THE NON-TITHER WILL HAVE TO LABOR UNDER THE SAME CONDITIONS AS THOSE WHO ARE NOT TITHING...
HAVING SAID THAT, I AM NOT IN SUPPORT OF PASTORS WHO "BEAT" THEIR MEMBERS EVERY SUNDAY WITH MALACHI 3 AND TELL THEM IF THEY DON'T TITHE THEY WILL TITHE TO THE DEVIL, THEY WILL LOOSE IT IN MEDICAL BILLS AND STUFF LIKE THAT...NO, GRACE HAS FREELY PROVIDED HEALING THROUGH THE BLOOD AND IT IS PART OF THE ATONEMENT....BUT THEY WILL BE OPEN TO SATAN'S ATTACK ON THEIR FINANCES BUT WHEN YOU TITHE THE REST 90 IS PROTECTED...
{Romans 11:16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches}
Holy there means set apart to God..When you tithe 10% you are setting it apart to God and the rest is also Holy and the curse over the land is ineffective over it
IN THE AREA OF FINANCIAL PROSPERITY TITHING IS A PRINCIPLE FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO WALK IN COVENANT WITH GOD IN THE AREA OF FINANCE...HE WILL GIVE THE POWER TO MAKE WEALTH IN REMEMBRANCE OF THE COVENANT HE MADE WITH ABRAHAM TO BLESS HIS SEED WHICH SEED YOU ARE IF YOU ARE IN CHRIST….
{DEUTERONOMY 8:18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.}
THE RICHEST MAN IN THE WORLD, BILL GATES IS NOT A TITHER, NEITHER IS WARREN BUFFET, NOR MICHEAL DELL AND SO ON...AND THEY ALL WORKED HARD TO CREATE WEALTH, SO IT IS POSSIBLE TO PROSPER FINANCIALLY IN THE WORLD SYSTEM BUT WITH EXCEPTIONAL ABILITIES LIKE THE MEN MENTIONED ABOVE AND SPORTS STARS AND PEOPLE WITH BUSINESS ACUMEN BUT FOR FINANCIAL PROSPERITY TO BE SURE TO ALL OF GODS PEOPLE IRRESPECTIVE OF SKILLS, TRAINING OR BACKGROUND HE PROVIDED THE GRACE WAY..THE COVENANT OF ABRAHAM…...This includes what money cannot buy...peace, safety..etc..
THE TITHER IS IN A COVENANT WALK WITH GOD...
LOVE GIVES, GRACE SUPPLIES WHAT LOVE HAS GIVEN AND FAITH.[of which tithing is an expression of faith in God’s ability to prosper] RECEIVES WHAT GRACE SUPPLIES...
IN CONCLUSION:
IF YOU ARE NOT TITHING OR ARE TITHING OUT OF DUTY YOU ARE NOT PROPERLY ALIGNED WITH GOD. I KNOW SOME HAVE BOUGHT INTO THE LIE OF THE DEVIL THAT IT IS PASTORS THEY ARE GIVING TO...DON’T CONCERN YOURSELF WITH WHETHER THE PASTORS ARE MISUSING THE TITHE. LEAVE THEM WITH THE ONE WHO OWNS THE TITHE. EVERYONE WILL GIVE AN ACCOUNT. JUST KNOW THAT JESUS HAS ORDAINED IT THAT MEN WILL RECEIVE THE TITHE ON HIS BEHALF…SEE BEYOND THE MAN/WOMAN WHO IS RECEIVING IT FROM YOUR HANDS..MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN A PLACE WHERE YOU ARE BEEN FED THE WORD...
SEE JESUS RECEIVING IT FROM YOUR HANDS!
